Black Sesame Hojicha Latte
Nutty black sesame meets roasted hojicha in a creamy, layered latte. A drink worth making slowly.
Ingredients
Hojicha Base
- 3g hojicha powder
- 30g hot water (175°F / 80°C)
- 10g maple syrup
- 100ml milk of your choice
- 1 tbsp black sesame paste
Method
- 1Sift hojicha powder into a small bowl.
- 2Pour boiling water into a teacup to cool it to 80°C, then pour into the tea bowl with the hojicha.
- 3Add maple syrup and whisk vigorously for 15 seconds in an "M" shape until smooth and frothy.
- 4Stir black sesame paste into the milk and whisk until fully dissolved and creamy.
- 5Add ice to a glass, pour in the black sesame milk, then slowly pour the hojicha on top.
