Earl Grey Orange Loaf
A tender, fragrant loaf bursting with fresh orange, ground earl grey, and dark chocolate chips. Sophisticated and very snackable.
Ingredients
- 1 orange, zested
- 200g sugar
- 200g all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 150g butter
- 50g olive oil
- 100g sour cream
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Juice of 1 full medium-sized orange
- 2 tbsp earl grey tea, ground into powder
- 150g chocolate chips

Zest the orange and rub it with the sugar until fragrant and well combined.

Add the butter to the orange-sugar mixture and whip until fluffy.

Add the olive oil and continue whipping until light and fluffy.

Mix in the eggs, sour cream, vanilla extract, orange juice, and ground earl grey tea until well combined.

Gently fold in the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and baking powder until just combined. Don't overmix.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
