Borough Market is the most overrated meal in the city.

Skip it but go for the traditional sausage roll from The Garlic Pig, and Dan recommends the sandwiches at The Black Pig. Other than those two, I think it's a bit of a tourist trap. Almost everything we wanted had long lines. The market was so packed that it was hard to navigate. There weren't many spaces to sit down or eat, and prices were not cheap. You can also find The Black Pig outside of the market.
Marylebone
Skip it
I would skip this one. If you only have a day to explore a neighbourhood, I suggest choosing Notting Hill or Shoreditch over Marylebone, unless you have lots of money to spend, as it's a quieter area for shopping. One thing we noticed was that it's coffee shop after coffee shop, and since we don't drink coffee, the whole neighbourhood was lost on us.

This one is controversial because I follow them on Instagram, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my matcha standards. I couldn't really taste the matcha, and nothing turns me off more than a poorly balanced milk-to-matcha ratio. One thing that did surprise us was the banana matcha loaf. It was good, and I'd gladly have it again if I see Jenki.

We had two custard doughnuts, which looked amazing in pictures and smelled great. However, the actual doughnut experience fell a little flat. The dough was not as fluffy as I'm used to, and the custard tasted off. It wasn't as eggy as the custard I prefer. I wouldn't line up for it.
Daunt Books
Worth it
Honestly, any bookshop in London is worth visiting. They are huge, and the architecture and atmosphere were just as stunning as what others shared online. The selections are beautiful, and the handwritten staff recommendations were definitely the highlight.

One of our favourite places to have breakfast of all time. We went back twice, which says a lot! If you love porridge, this is the right spot, but if you're craving savoury dishes, they have those too. It's a place I will never skip when I'm in London.
Padella
Worth it
We went there quite early, so there was no line like others mentioned online. The pasta was amazing. We had their cacio e pepe and Fettuccine with 'nduja, lemon, and mascarpone. The only thing to note is that they pre-charge tips on the bill, which threw us off. If you don't want to tip, ask them to remove it.
